I have a social media dilemma. I’ve never been a Twitterer... Twiterati?... how do you call yourselves? This has been somewhat purposeful as I’ve spent my career building social media presence for companies I’ve worked for, not wanting my personal life or opinions intertwined.
I do have a large network on LinkedIn and Facebook, as an early adopter, and having been involved in many companies, churches, social groups and non-profits, and as a teacher at high schools and summer University.
These platforms are where I have the most influence to promote the great content on Locals.com and grow our communities.
However, it poses some risk. The Silicon Valley culture could mean that if the wrong people catch on, my career could be Fin.
Do you face similar dilemmas?
Question: With the new articles feature, will this have the same general rules of SEO as Google? If not, what's the rule set to get good results? And where does the search show? Are the articles largely for our audiences or will they draw additional folks in (assuming not set subscribers only)?
I know how to google-fu a good blog, but would be helpful to know what the rules of engagement here are. Oh, and are the articles searchable on other platforms?
Thanks!
